Nebraska flooding: three people stuck in an elevator up to their necks in water
Bad weather in Nebraska left about 18 people without electricity, and three people were stuck in an elevator. The edition told in more detail with the BBC.
“The elevator started shaking and water started pouring in,” Tony Luu said. “We didn’t know that the basement was flooded with water; there were no warnings.” We decided to go down to the basement to check what was there."
“But water began to rise in the elevator. It rose almost to the neck and then stopped,” Luu continues. “I pressed all the buttons and tried to find some way out of the elevator. But he wasn’t there.”

“I grabbed my phone and called my neighbor via FaceTime,” the victim said. “I told him I could die in that elevator.” The rescuers had not arrived yet, so my friends pulled us out of the elevator.”
They opened the doors due to the fact that the neighbor opened the door from the outside, and the stuck tried to do the same from the inside.

“I think I will be more careful in the future,” Luu says. - And if there are floods, I will take the stairs. You never know what to expect."
