A mother who tortured 13 children in California was a victim of child sexual abuse.

Louise Turpin, who, along with her husband David, kept chained and mocked 13 children, was a child who was a victim of sexual abuse by a close relative.

According to her, Louise, her cousin Patricia and some other girls in the family were harassed by a wealthy relative. Elizabeth did not name the man, only saying that he was still alive and in March 2018 he would be 99.

She added that the man is “a very, very close family member with whom the girls met daily.”

According to Elizabeth, the victims of harassment did not admit to this and were simply silent about what was happening.

“They don’t talk about such things. If we talked about it, it would look like we were lying or something like that... So we just didn’t talk about it and had to be around this person every day,” the woman admitted.

Accused cousin Patricia confirmed the harassment story and said that she tried to tell her parents about the ten-year sexual abuse that she endured, but they “did nothing”.

Relatives of Louise Turpin said they decided to tell this story so that the public would understand the conditions in which the woman condemned by people grew up and, perhaps, softened a little towards her.

Brothers and sisters aged from 2 to 29 years were held by their parents in the private house of Perris, California.

David's parents, James and Betty Turpin, said the couple explained such a number of children with “God's calling”.

January 18 David and Louise were charged on 38 points, including torture, child abuse and illegal detention. David is also accused of raping a child under the age of 14.

Both have pleaded not guilty and are in prison. They are assigned a bail of 12 million dollars and face imprisonment of 94 years.

The motive of the parents of the police has not yet been established. Children who have experienced this terrible tragedy are also very slowly revealed, which, according to psychologists, is normal in their position.

The court banned Louise and David from contacting their children for at least three years.

Residents of the city of Perris, where the family lived, are very worried that they did not notice the criminal attitude of parents to their children earlier, and are trying to actively help the saved children of the family, writes CNN.

Resident Josh Tiedeman-Bell has started an initiative to collect 13 bags of essentials - blankets, toiletries, etc. - that will soon be delivered to the Turpin children (on the picture).

Tideman Bell saw five or six children of the family at a communal Christmas party two years ago.

He remembers the children who stood in line for their parents to get cookies and hot chocolate.

According to him, these children “looked like pilgrims.”
