Vietnamese Communist Party Secretary General will arrive in the USA for the first time in history
Nguyen Phu Chong, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnamese Communist Party, will arrive shortly with the first ever visit to the United States. This was announced on Friday at the annual conference of the Washington-based nongovernmental center for new American security, US First Deputy Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

He confirmed that during this visit, the Secretary General of the CPV Central Committee will hold negotiations, in particular, with US President Barack Obama.
The visit will be timed to the 20 anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Washington and Hanoi, Blinken said.
