Trump's ex-adviser threatens to uncover corruption in the White House

It is possible that President Donald Trump did not suspect that Omaros Manigolt-Newman was fired by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. At least, this is evidenced by the audio recording of a telephone conversation, which was made public by the ex-adviser itself on Monday morning during the NBC broadcast.

“Omarosa, what’s going on? I just saw on the news that you're thinking about leaving. What happened?” Trump’s voice can be heard off-screen.

CNN quotes Manigault-Newman, who was fired last December. The former adviser replies, "General Kelly came to me and said you guys want me gone."

"No. Nobody even told me about this,” says the president. “You know, they carried out a major operation, but I didn’t even know about it.” I did not know about it. Damn, I'm not happy about you leaving at all."

NBC News edited a new audio recording, but warned that the organization did not know what was said before or after the fragment of the conversation voiced by the audience. The record was made public by Omaros.

At the White House at Trump Manigolt-Newman, she held the position of Assistant to the President and Director of Communications in the office of the White House for public relations, writes Newsru.com. She was the only African American in the administration. At the time of the dismissal, both Trump and Sanders wished her success and thanked her for the work, but information appeared in the media that the dismissal was forced. The reason for it was the controversy with Trump because of the events in Charlottesville in August 2017, where right and left activists clashed.

After the dismissal, Manigolt-Newman delivered to the NBC channel an audio recording of the conversation with the head of the White House staff, John Kelly. You can hear the parties discuss her dismissal.

Manigault-Newman said that after leaving, she was offered a contract providing for a monthly payment of $15 in exchange for silence, but she refused it, threatening to “expose” corruption in the White House.

On Monday, Manigault-Newman released another recording - this time of her conversation with Trump, in which the US president denied any involvement in her dismissal.

On Tuesday, the Manigolt-Newman book should appear in the United States, in which, according to the press, it speaks very sharply about Trump. The former assistant to the president, in particular, accuses him of racism, and also writes that the president is allegedly a misogynist, prone to narcissism and does not have the qualifications necessary to hold the post of head of state.

Manigault-Newman also said in the book that one day in 2017, the head of state swallowed an important document after meeting with his former lawyer Michael Cohen in the Oval Office of the White House. “I saw him put a note in his mouth. Considering that Trump has always been a rather squeamish person, I was surprised that he chewed and swallowed paper. It looks like they were talking about something very, very confidential,” the press quoted an excerpt from Newman’s book.

US President Donald Trump publicly criticized Omaros Manigolt-Newman, stating that the former White House adviser, promoting his book and publicizing secret audio recordings, was fired deservedly, writes Voice of America.

“I told him to try to work on it if possible because she only spoke very well of me – until she got fired!” the president added.

The head of state posted on Monday on his page on the social network Twitter a reaction to the publication of records:

“Crazy Omarosa, who was fired three times from the reality show Apprentice, has now been fired for the last time. She has never succeeded and will never succeed. She begged me with tears in her eyes to hire her. “I agreed,” Trump noted with irritation. “The White House staff hated her.” She was mean, but not smart."

Although, judging by the latest record, it seems that Trump did not know about her dismissal, Manigolt-Newman said on the air of NBC that the president most likely ordered Kelly to fire her. She did not provide any evidence of this version. The White House, which had sharply criticized her over the weekend, is not yet answering questions about the new record.

Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani said Monday that Manigault-Newman may have broken the law by recording private conversations at the White House. “She certainly violates national security standards, which in my opinion have the force of law,” he said on Fox News.

In a recorded conversation with Kelly, which Manigault-Newman quotes at length in her book, the chief of staff says he wants to talk to her about ending her White House job. “In recent months, I have become aware of some very significant, in my opinion, violations of professional ethics on your part,” Kelly said, explaining that Manigault-Newman used government vehicles and was also involved in some financial improprieties, which he compared with crimes entailing a tribunal in the army.

“I have never heard of more serious violations of protocol,” said Ned Price, who served as a spokesman for the National Security Council during the Barack Obama administration. “This is not only atypical, but also unprecedented.”
