An American died in a Russian migrant center: he was found with his veins cut
On the night of December 4, 56-year-old US citizen Ernest Harry Mitchell, who was in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens (TSVSIG) in the Krasnodar Territory, Russia, was found dead in one of the premises of the institution, reports Kommersant.

Russian authorities say the American allegedly committed suicide. Telegram channel “VChK-OGPU” reported that Ernest Mitchell was found in a toilet stall with severed arteries and veins in his legs, arms and neck.
Mitchell was placed in a center for illegal migrants on November 17 after a court in Sochi ordered his expulsion from Russia for violating entry rules: a foreign citizen did not have a Russian health insurance policy. Mitchell explained that he considered his policy to be valid in the Russian Federation: before leaving, he called the insurance company, where he was told that the document was valid in all states.

At the same time, he pleaded guilty to an administrative offense.
Central District Court of Sochi appointed Ernest Harry Mitchell was sentenced to a fine in the amount of $33 with administrative deportation from the Russian Federation.

Pending the execution of the decision on administrative deportation, the court decided to place Mitchell in a temporary detention center for foreign citizens subject to administrative deportation in the Krasnodar Territory. Ernest Harry Mitchell, as follows from court materials, did not appeal the decision to deport him from Russia.
