The shooting occurred on the morning of May 7 in a small community in southwestern Louisiana.
58-year-old David Doyle was detained. He is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a firearm, the Calcasieu County Sheriff's Office said.
Police say the teenagers were playing hide-and-seek and went to Doyle's lot.
Doyle himself told detectives that he "saw shadows outside his house" and went to get the weapon. When he returned, he saw people running from his territory and started shooting at them. It was a group of teenagers.
