In two days, a resident of Washington (DC) collected more than 38 thousand dollars to help the stranger homeless Anthony Torres, reports “Voice of America".

It all started when Torres 56-year-old was videotaped when he tried get shaved in the train in New Jersey writes Lenta.ru.

After the video was posted online, many users left mocking or disapproving comments under the video, which made Torres very upset.

He admitted that he just wanted to look presentable and had no other opportunity to shave. According to him, people condemning him and mocking him in social networks do not know what he had to endure.

“My life is completely derailed. That's why I shaved in the train, ”lamented Torres.

The man said that the train was the only place where he could shave. The last few days he spent in a motel, slept in a bus depot, the last place of his overnight stay - a New York shelter for the homeless. Before leaving the orphanage, he did not have the opportunity to shave in order to look neat, so he had to do it in transport. Torres was heading towards his brother Thomas at that moment.

Thomas contacted the media to say that his brother did not deserve to be bullied: he worked several jobs, had health problems, and over the past two years he has had two strokes.

Moreover, the author of the video wanted to make money on the video that received more than a million views, which only reinforced the injustice of the situation.

Therefore, Washington resident Jordan Al decided to help Torres and correct the injustice.

He appealed to the Americans to collect donations for the homeless on the platform GoFundMe, and in just three days I collected $ 38 366 (amount at the time of writing) for him.
