A student mysteriously disappeared in Utah: the police are asking for help. A PHOTO

Salt Lake City Police Department (Utah) published 23-year-old Mackenzie Lühek snapshots that were taken hours before the woman disappeared.

In photographs taken with video surveillance cameras at Salt Lake City International Airport, Lüück with a black backpack and handbag leaves the airport around 2 at 1 am on Monday, 17 June. The woman arrived at the airport after attending the funeral of a family member in California. After the plane landed, around 1: 00 on the night of June 17, she sent a message to the mother, after that there was no information about her, writes CNN.

In the other photo, you can see a woman rolling her suitcase near the baggage carousel. According to the police, it was just a few minutes before she called the car through the Lyft app and asked to take her to Hatch Park, located in the north of Salt Lake City. After dropping off Lyuek, the Lyft driver continued working and picked up several other passengers, and the girl has since disappeared.

“Mackenzie was met at Hatch Park by a man in a car. The Lyft driver left her at the park with the man. According to him, McKenzie did not appear depressed or stressed at the time,” Salt Lake Police Chief Tim Doubt told reporters.

The police have not yet determined the make or model of the car and have not identified the person who met Luke in the park. Moreover, law enforcement officers do not even know the sex of this person.

Lyft confirmed that the application did not record any irregularities or deviations from the route during the Luek trip. According to the company, the driver continued to work immediately after he took the girl to the park.

“We are actively assisting law enforcement authorities in their investigation,” the company said.

On the morning of June 23, Luek missed the flight to Los Angeles, and she also missed her intermediate college exam.

The missing woman's friend Ashley Fine said Lueck was "extremely responsible."

“She would never miss her midterm or anything like that,” Fine noted.

According to her, Lyuek lives near Troll Square, she has roommates, but she did not get in touch with them.

“I don’t know why she drove north to Salt Lake City around 2 a.m. This is very, very suspicious and dangerous,” Fine said.

According to the police, Lyuek’s phone was disconnected from June 17; it’s not yet possible to establish its location. Although no evidence of harm was found to the woman, Daubt said that "because of the circumstances of the case, we want to make sure that everything is in order with her."

“Mackenzie, we ask that you contact the Salt Lake City Police Department or the local law enforcement agency in which you are located. We want to make sure you're safe and we'll respect your wishes,” Doubt said, noting that sometimes missing people don't want to be contacted.

The police asks anyone who has information about Luek to call the number: 801-799-4420.
