88-year-old Vera Sibireva writes and sells fairy tales in order to use the money received to publish an album of drawings by her deceased daughter. She sells her books in the cold at the entrance to the store, writes “Present Tense.”
Vera Vasilyevna Sibireva 88 years. The widow of the famous poet and journalist Vladimir Sibireva retired and she began to write fairy tales. Plots were taken from stories that were told to her relatives in childhood in the Udmurt village, but creatively processed them.
“My fairy tales do not promote murder, not evil, but goodness,” says the writer.
Illustrated fairy tales by her daughter Svetlana. She worked as an engineer at one of the enterprises in Yekaterinburg, but was fond of drawing and gladly made illustrations for her mother's fairy tales.
“When my daughter was dying, she said: “Mom, you put your granddaughter on her feet,” the woman recalls. “And I said I wouldn’t leave her.”
