In Central Park, recorded an unusual record: this happened only three times in the last 150 years

The beginning of March 2019 in New York was not only cold, but also brought an unusual record for Central Park - so unusual that it had happened only twice before in the last 150 years.

4 March The National Meteorological Service announced that snowfall had been recorded in the park for five days in a row. This happens only for the third time in the last 150 years, writes NBC New York. At the same time, snowfall was taken into account, in which at least 0,1 inches (2,5 mm) of snow fall.

The National Weather Service reported that three winter storms that hit the region last week resulted in 28 inches (0,1 mm) of snow being recorded in Central Park on February 2,5; March 1 - 1,4 inches (3,5 cm); March 2 - 4 inches (10 cm); March 3 - 3 inches (7,6 cm) and March 4 - 2 inches (5,1 cm).

The last time something like this happened was on January 10-14, 1938, and before that on February 10-14, 1923.
