The Moldovan government approved the bill, which actually provides for a complete ban on the broadcasting in the country of information and information and analytical programs of Russian TV channels.
“The bill is aimed at ensuring the protection of the domestic information space from external manipulation and propaganda,” the report notes.
The document provides that information and analytical programs should be fully produced in Moldova, of which 80% should be in Romanian.
It is permitted to broadcast informational and political-analytical programs produced in EU member states, the USA and countries that have ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television (Russia has signed the Convention, but has not ratified it - ed.).
