In Los Angeles, there was a gas explosion: there are victims
In the central part of Los Angeles because of a gas leak in a gas tank on 9000 gallons (34 thousands of liters) an explosion thundered. At least two people were injured, writes The Detroit News.
The incident occurred on the morning of March 17 on 216 W. Slauson Ave.
The fire department said the blast wave had an effect on the rainwater runoff, and because of that it had torn off the manhole covers.
72 fire took about an hour to extinguish the fire, from which there was a large column of smoke. Smoke was visible from all parts of the city.

Two people were hospitalized. Information about the types of injuries was not reported. In addition, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported that "several people" complained of injuries.
The incident affected two nearby buildings. The degree of damage is not reported. The investigation continues.
