In Israel, zoodefenders chained themselves

In Israel, about 100 activists from the Animal Welfare Society staged a demonstration near the Zoglobek concern factory, which is located in Shlomi (Galilee).

The demonstrators protested against the brutal killing of chickens in this factory. They called it a real mockery of birds, as the methods of killing are used inhumane.

In protest, zoodefenders chained themselves to the gates, hindering the passage of transport to the factory.

The police said that this action was illegal because it was not coordinated with the authorities. Special forces were called in to disperse the demonstrators. As a result, 12 animal rights activists were detained and normal operation of the Zoglobek factory was restored.
