In Finland, hackers extracted a correspondence about sanctions against Russia

The administration of the head of the Finnish government has begun a check on the fact of the leakage of the correspondence of the former prime minister of the country, Jyrka Katainen. The correspondence was obtained by hackers who, among other things, were interested in information about EU sanctions against Russia.

About the leakage of correspondence became known on Friday, April 10, after some people offered it to several media outlets for publication. In the administration of the Government of Finland they note that there was no talk about selling information.

According to preliminary data, the hackers who obtained the correspondence were based in Finland. In addition to the correspondence of the former prime minister, the attackers received letters from the assistant to Katainen and the head of the Ministry of the Interior (Errki Tuomioja held this post in the government of Katainen).
