In Atlanta, the driver of Uber Eats tried to kill a client

Atlanta police are still looking for a Uber Eats driver who is suspected of shooting and attempting to kill a client, reports CNN.

Police said the shooting occurred near 23: 30 on Saturday in the Buckhead area. An 30-year-old victim, Ryan Thornton, sought medical help after he placed a food order through a mobile app.

“The victim came out to meet the driver, received his order and began to walk away from the car,” police said. “As Ryan was leaving, there was a verbal altercation between him and the driver.” Then the driver got out of the car and shot at the victim.”

According to police data, the driver disappeared on white Volkswagen. Identify the suspect so far failed.

Uber Eats is a food delivery service where a driver picks up orders from restaurants and delivers them to customers.

“We are shocked and saddened by this news,” they said. Uber Eats. “We are working with Atlanta police.”

The company declares that its goal is safe and reliable delivery.

"That is why Uber prohibits drivers from carrying any firearms in their vehicle while using our app,” the company said.
