Husband killing a pregnant wife and daughters in Colorado: details of family life are known

Chanann Watts from Colorado called her husband "my rock" and "the best father that girls could only wish for", laying out photos of their seemingly idyllic life on social networks.

However, the real life of the family was far from being so rosy and ended with the murder of a woman and her daughters, committed by her husband, writes Fox News.

Chanann and her husband, Chris, were in dire financial straits. In 2015, they jointly filed for bankruptcy, citing more than 70 000 dollars of debt.

The couple had a combined income of $90 in 000. But they also had tens of thousands of dollars in debt on credit cards, student loans and medical bills—totaling $2014—and the couple had a large mortgage to pay.

In a bankruptcy statement, they indicated that they had to pay 3 000 dollars per month on mortgages and 600 dollars on a car loan, so these debts absorbed most of the amount in 4 900 dollars they could afford to spend monthly.

15 August 33-year-old Chris Watts was arrested on charges of murdering his 34-year-old wife and their daughters: Celeste (3 of the year) and Bella (4 of the year).

The body of Shannn, which was on 15 pregnancy week, was discovered on the site of an object owned by Anadarko Petroleum, the company where the murdered husband worked as an operator.

The authorities in Colorado stated that they "have good reason to believe" that it was Chris who committed the murder. Police also reported that they found the bodies of children. Militiamen did not provide any information about the motives or how the victims were killed.

Although the bodies were found on the property of the company, detectives suggest that they were killed in the family house.

Chris Watts started working at Anadarko as an operator six months ago, earning $ 61 500 per year. Shannon Watts worked in a call center at the children's hospital, earning about 18 dollars per hour.

Shannan and her daughters were reported missing on August 13, days after returning from a trip to visit relatives in North Carolina. The woman's disappearance was reported to the police by her friend, who for a long time could not reach Shanann by phone.

The police found a woman’s wallet, keys and cell phone in the house, but neither her nor the children were anywhere.

Police, the FBI and the Colorado State Bureau of Investigation began searching for the missing.

That day, talking to reporters, Chris Watts complained how much he missed them. After a few hours he confessed to killing his family and was arrested.
