The most dangerous cities in the United States

In 2016, the number of violent crimes in the United States increased by 3,4% over the previous year. According to the FBI, in 2016 a year (the latest period for which official statistics are available) for every 100 000 US residents an average of 386 violent crimes were recorded, including murder, rape, robbery and aggravated assault.

Edition CBS News collected the rating of the most dangerous cities in the United States, which recorded the highest rates of violent crime.

25. Nashville, Tennessee

• 1 102 violent crime on 100 000 residents.
• In 2016, 81 murder was recorded in this city.
