'Thank you for the opportunity to live': the FBI agent met with the man 22 saved years ago. VIDEO
Just two months after starting service with the FBI as a special agent, Troy Sowers took part in an investigation that he would remember forever. It was 1997 year, and Sowers was still a newbie agent who worked in Washington State when he was assigned to investigate the abduction case.
A woman posing as a doctor stole a child from a mother who had just given birth. Law enforcement officers found the kidnapper within 19 hours. When she was taken into custody, she told Sowers where the kidnapped child was, writes CBS News.
Sowers found the boy in a cardboard box, the child was alive.
“I took the baby out of the box. This was hard. I had to take a couple of deep breaths before I started talking,” Sowers said.

As an inexperienced novice, Sowers was especially thrilled by this incident. This marked the beginning of a long and successful FBI agent career. The child out of the box was also successful, now he is a US Marine.
When it was time for Sowers to retire, his daughter decided to find the child whom he had saved over 20 years ago and often recalled. She then helped plan a holiday party for her father at the FBI. Sowers' last working day was as memorable as his first 22 business a year ago.
He finally met a man whose life he had saved at the beginning of his career. At the beginning of the meeting, Sowers was shown photographs of Corporal Stuart Rembert, noting that he was actually a child whom he had saved many years ago.
“I think this is the perfect ending to the story. I think we’ll see him again someday,” Sowers said.

Rembert was also looking forward to seeing his savior. He has been a marine for three years now; this would never have happened if Sowers had not saved him then.
“None of this would have happened if you hadn’t found me. I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to live,” Rembert told Sowers.
