In Portland put on a grand performance in Russian

French comedy in Russian with English subtitles will be shown in Portland (Oregon) this fall.

This is the second full-fledged performance, designed for an adult audience, the theater Scarlet Sails. Professional actors Dmitry and Olga Sotiriadi will take the stage, part-time directors of the play, as well as theater students, that is, amateur actors, they all live in Portland. Play the play will be two sets of artists, which will allow the viewer to look at the characters from different sides.

According to Olga Sotiriadi, the play by Claude Manyier, like other French dramaturgy, is about love. Here the hero gets into love troubles and tries to get out of them, and then finds true love. The material is also very light, with a French touch, and the directors hope that the audience will forget about their problems during the performance.

In the story, poor artist Blaise has a girlfriend; she works as a model. She had a brilliant idea - to marry Blaise to the daughter of her rich lover. The noble surname of the future husband is the only thing that drives the family in this “deal.” The plan changes when a pretty young maid, a hot Spanish dancer and other ladies burst into the life of the main character. A whirlwind of love affairs and intrigue draws everyone in. Nonsense and fun ensues...

Last fall, the Scarlet Sails theater showed Ostrovsky's “The Marriage of Balzaminov” in Portland. The theater exists in Portland for three years, also in the repertoire of actors, children's New Year's performances, concerts, festivals.
