They want to call the first payment card in Russia “Empire”

The National Payment Card System (NPCS) has launched a vote for the best name and logo option for a Russian bank card.

In total, thousands of applications were submitted to 5,5 for the competition, 20 variants were added to the shortlist. Among them are “Peace”, “Comet”, “Empire”, “Imperial”, “Patriot”, “Verba” and two “Finistas” (with different logos).

According to the organizers of the competition, Empire is leading with 39 percent of votes. Motherland and Comets have 7 percent, Mira has 6 percent, and one of Finist’s has 4 percent. All other contestants received from 1 to 3 percent.

The competition for the name and logo of the NSPC card was launched on April 8, applications were accepted until April 30. Voting will last until May 22. The winner of the competition will receive 150 thousand rubles, runner-up - 50 thousand.
