Bride illegally crossed the Israeli border in the trunk for the wedding

At the checkpoint, at the entrance to Eilat (Israel), with a standard check of one of the cars, the police found in the trunk a young girl who, as it later turned out, was the bride of a resident of East Jerusalem who was driving.

After interrogating the driver, it turned out that the 27-year-old resident of East Jerusalem and his 21-year-old bride from Nablus had long dreamed of getting married in an Eilat hotel. But there was one small problem - the young bride did not have Israeli citizenship and permission to enter the country. The solution found seemed, at first glance, simple - to hide the girl in the trunk of a car and thus try to transport her to Eilat.

The most interesting thing that was conceived by the young was almost - with the girl in the trunk, covered with lots of different clothes and all kinds of fabrics, they passed the checkpoints near Jerusalem and drove to the very goal. From time to time, the groom stopped his car on the side of the road and let the bride into the fresh air to let her breathe, relax, drink water and eat. And only at Eilat itself, the border guards, who accidentally stopped a car at a checkpoint for a routine check, suddenly suddenly suspected something.

The suspicions began after the standard question of what the inhabitant of East Jerusalem intends to do in Eilat and what are his plans, what did he begin to stammer something to mumble about. The border guards decided to check the trunk and were very surprised to see a hand protruding from under a pile of rags and cords. The driver at the gunpoint laid down on the ground and allowed to rise, just making sure that they are not suicide bombers.

“I really wanted to get married in Eilat and that’s why I asked to be hidden in the trunk,” the would-be bride explained her behavior. “It looks like my wedding is over now.”
