Unknowns opened fire in the courtyard of a residential complex in Brooklyn

Two unknown persons entered the courtyard of a residential complex in Brooklyn and opened fire, killing two girls, one of whom raised a daughter. The tragedy occurred on Wednesday night, July 12, police said.

Near 21: 30 officers arrived at the call and found two unconscious girls in the courtyard of one of the houses Stuyvesant Gardens at Bedford Stuyvesant, on Gates Ave.

Witnesses say that there were children in the yard.

According to the police, it became known that the 21-year-old girl was hit in the head. She was taken to Woodhull hospitalwhere she died from injury.

The second victim, an 29-year-old girl, was hit in the back and taken to Kings county hospitalwhere she died too.

Police said the girls were sitting with other people in the courtyard of the complex when two men approached and opened fire.

It is known that one of the dead raised a three-year-old daughter.

Neighbor Curtis Campbell said he heard shots, and then he saw the girls fall in the yard.

The names of the dead are not disclosed.

Meanwhile, residents said that the whole area is in “complete chaos” because of what happened.

At the time of writing, the police did not make arrests. Investigation is underway. Suspects have not yet been identified.

The police suggest that the girls were casual victims.
