Back to the future: an American company has created removable keyboards for smartphones
BlackBerry fans who miss a physical keyboard on their smartphones can try Clicks. The company has developed a keyboard designed for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro models, reports MacRumors.
Clicks is showing off its accessories ahead of CES, with an iPhone 14 Pro version of the keyboard ready to ship in February. The keyboard is priced at $139. The iPhone 15 Pro version will arrive in mid-March, while the $15 iPhone 159 Pro Max version will release in the spring.
The Clicks Creator keyboard is available in BumbleBee yellow and London Sky grey. It adds a small physical keyboard to the bottom of the iPhone. Clicks says the body design "feels like a natural extension of the iPhone" and the keys have been designed with ideal click resistance and feedback for fast, accurate typing.
The standard QWERTY keyboard has keys to activate dictation, access emoji, and activate shortcuts such as returning to the home screen and scrolling. At night you can turn on the built-in lighting.

iPhone connects to the keyboard via Lightning (iPhone 14 Pro) or USB-C (iPhone 15 Pro), and supports pass-through charging. It also supports wireless charging but lacks MagSafe.

The iPhone 15 Pro's Clicks keyboard measures 188,45mm, which is 41,85mm longer than the iPhone 15 Pro's 146,6mm. An iPhone equipped with this keyboard will be more than 3,8 cm longer. The keyboard is just over 3mm wider than the iPhone and 2,5mm thicker. The case weighs 62 grams, which is slightly less than half the weight of the iPhone 15 Pro (187 grams).
The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models are the same size, so the keyboards do add significant bulk to the iPhone. Clicks says the keyboard is easy to put on and take off, and when in use it acts like a hardware keyboard, so the software keyboard isn't visible on the display.
Clicks for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro can be pre-ordered at Clicks website, and the iPhone 15 Pro Max version can be reserved for $30.
