A day after strong storms and tornado hit the south of the United States, weather forecasters in the country forecast even more severe weather on May 1, writes USA Today.

“Severe weather will develop across many areas of the Southern and Central Plains and the lower and middle Mississippi Valley on Wednesday. Very large hail will be possible for parts of west-central Texas, with damaging winds, hail and heavy rain being the main threat,” the National Weather Service warned.

AccuWeather predicts that several tornadoes can form in northeast Texas, including in the Dallas area.

30 April recorded at least 25 tornado reports in five states, including Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Arkansas and Kansas.

Some tornadoes were strong and led to destruction. In particular, the destruction of the tornado were recorded near Wheaton, Missouri, as well as near Buna, Arkansas.

There were no tornado deaths as of Wednesday morning, but at least one person was injured in Brian, Oklahoma, after the roof was damaged in the building where he was located.

Heavy rain in Davenport, Iowa, led to the collapse of the dam, flooding part of the city center. In the center of Davenport was declared an emergency situation due to a sudden flood.

On Wednesday, flood warnings remained in force throughout the central US, especially along the Mississippi River.

"It's pretty much the entire river, all the way to the Gulf of Mexico," said Mike McClure, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Davenport, Iowa.

Meanwhile, in the Rockies 30 April snow fell, winter precipitation on the last day of April was recorded in Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and Montana.

More snow is expected on Wednesday. In Rapid City, South Dakota, can fall to 15, see snow.
