On the beach in Florida, a man killed by lightning
A lightning hit the Florida man when he was on the beach. As a result of the incident, the man died on the spot.

33-year-old James Barton fell victim to a natural phenomenon on Sunday afternoon in Siesta Key. According to 14: 15 during a storm on the beach of Siesta, lightning hit a man. Rescuers and personnel rushed to the aid of Barton. They tried to resuscitate him and took him to Sarasota hospital, where doctors stated death.

Rescuers said they had notified visitors about an impending storm, but some did not heed the warning.
"We're very concerned for their safety," Sarasota County Fire Rescue Capt. Roy Rout said. “They were warned several times.”
