A man from Oklahoma 19 years held the girl hostage, she bore him 9 children

A federal jury of 11 Jun found guilty of a series of charges against him of an 63-year-old man who held the girl captive for almost two decades, during which time she became pregnant nine times.

Henri Michel Piett kidnapped a victim in 1997 from the small town of Poteau in Oklahoma, where she lived with her mother. The girl's mom at the time was in a relationship with Piett, writes New York Daily News.

Prosecutors said Piette repeatedly raped and “physically and emotionally abused” the girl. During her time in captivity, the girl gave birth to nine children, the first in 2000, when she was 15 years old.

During the trial, which ended last week, it turned out that Piett, his victim and their children moved dozens of times to different regions of the United States and to Mexico. According to investigators, Piett used different names, and also made his victim appear different names, dye his hair black and wear glasses to change her appearance.

A woman escaped with her children to the US Consulate General in Nogales, Mexico, in July 2016. Piettu was charged in December 2017 of the year.

He was convicted of kidnapping with intent to have sex with a minor 6 of June, but the conviction was made public only on Tuesday.

“The victim endured two decades of terrible abuse at the hands of the accused. Her courage motivated her to run and save her children and allowed investigators and prosecutors to bring justice on her behalf. Ultimately, her courage brought an end to the defendant’s reign of terror,” said prosecutor Brian Kuester.

The prosecutor added that although the sentence would not heal the “countless wounds” inflicted by Piett, “he must prevent him from doing more harm.”
