Presidential candidates commented on the racist scandal in Missouri
Republicans and Democrats have expressed their views on the racist scandal in Missouri.
"I think it's just disgusting and the two people who resigned are weak and ineffective," Donald Trump told Fox News on Thursday morning.
He also called the protesters' demands "crazy."
President of the University of Missouri Tim Wolf left his post under pressure from students and teachers, outraged by the manifestations of racism in the university.
The situation in Missouri has attracted the attention of the entire country, after the university student committee joined the appeals of a number of employees and the football team for the resignation of Wolfe.
Many students at the University of Missouri were outraged at the racism on campus in recent weeks. Among other things, in the toilet of one of the hostels, an image of a swastika appeared, drawn by human excrement.
African American graduate student Jonathan Butler a week ago began a hunger strike in protest, after which the problem received a wide response, and the 30 black players of the university football team said they would not participate in any team events.
Some teachers and students threatened to leave the university in protest.
Tim Wolfe announced his decision on Monday after a meeting of the governing body of the university on the main campus of the university, in which 35 thousands of students study.
Wolfe said he resigned, fulfilling the main demand of protesting students who believe that he behaved incorrectly in the face of systematic manifestations of racial discrimination.
Republican Ben Carson, the only black candidate in the current presidential race, said the resignation is a sign that "legal political correctness" is going too far.
But the Democratic presidential candidates took the side of the students.
"It's time to address racism on college campuses," Bernie Sanders tweeted.
Hillary Clinton retweeted a post by her staffer Marlon Marshall, who wrote: “Racism should not exist anywhere, let alone in an educational institution...”
In Milwaukee passed fourth candidate debate on the presidency of the Republican Party.
