Kadyrov: Chechen volunteers left Donbass

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, confirmed that Chechen fighters had fought in the Donbas and assured that today they all returned to the republic. He called the Chechens who fought in eastern Ukraine volunteers.

“The volunteers were there, not now. When the truce was, all our volunteers were invited home: let's sit at home ... Now there should not be a single person at all. The hooligans we had there, we brought them home, ”said Kadyrov.

The head of Chechnya also said that the Russian armed forces are not participating in the conflict in eastern Ukraine. “If there were such a policy, if we had to go to the Donbass. Why am I going to travel to the Donbass, if there is Kiev? ”Kadyrov asked himself.

Chechen fighters are taking part in the war in eastern Ukraine on both sides of the conflict. Some of them are fighting for the DNI and the LC, some for Ukraine.

In March, 2014 was formed the battalion of the name of Dzhokhar Dudayev, whose fighters are fighting against the separatists.

The Russian authorities have repeatedly rejected accusations that active members of the Russian army are directly involved in the hostilities in eastern Ukraine.
