The Islamic State, threatening Russia and Putin, executed a Russian officer

The Islamic State terrorist organization distributed a video of the execution of a “Russian colonel” seized in Syria. Reports about it SITE Intelligence Groupengaged in monitoring publications on Islamist sites.

12-minute video in Russian released on Victory Day. In the video, a man dressed in black is kneeling. Events unfold in the desert. In the video, he calls on other Russian agents to surrender, notes Reuters.

A voice-over said the following: “This idiot believed the promises of his state, not to give it up if he was taken prisoner.” Then the bearded man cut off his head.

In the video, the voiceover also threatens Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin with new attacks.

According to the agency, the authenticity of the record and the identity of the person cannot be verified immediately. Also, it is not known when the murder actually happened.

The Russian Defense Ministry denied reports of the hostage-taking and execution of a Russian soldier, reports "Interfax". "All military personnel of the Armed Forces of the Russian grouping of troops in Syria are alive, healthy and perform tasks to combat international terrorism as part of their units," said defense officials.

Since the start of the Kremlin’s operations in Syria, 30 Russian troops have died. Such figures are given by the Ministry of Defense of Russia.

In December 2015, the "Islamic State" published video of the execution of the "Russian spy" Magomed Khasiyev. The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commenting on the video, said that the man who executed Khasiyev was identified as “a resident of Noyabrsk, who is Russian by nationality”.

According to media reports, it was a question of 28-year-old Anatolia Zemlyanka. He was wanted by Interpol and arrested in absentia by a Russian court.
