A one-year-old child died in a car locked in the heat while the mother was doing her hair

The 25-year-old mother from Georgia was arrested after leaving her one-year-old daughter in a locked-up car while she herself was doing her hair for six hours in a local salon.

According to the investigation, Fowler was recorded to a hairdresser in a salon located in the shopping center. Northlake tower festival in Tucker. Returning to the car, Fowler showed no signs of panic and even asked a passing man to help her start the car. Investigators believe that the mother covered the child’s body in order to hide it from the man.

About an hour after that, Fowler sent a message to the child’s godfather, telling him that she was going to the emergency room because of a severe headache. After checking the search history on her computer, investigators found out that at the same time she was looking for signs of attacks on the Internet.

After some time, Fowler arrived at the hospital and dialed 911. In a conversation with the operator, she did not mention her daughter's body, saying that she had “some kind of attack”.

The girl’s body was found in the parking lot of the hospital. At first, the police believed that the child had died during Fowler’s visit to the medical center because of the attack, but later it turned out that the little girl was dead for a longer period of time. After that, law enforcement officers decided to track the chronology of movements Fowler and found out that the child died in a hot car while the mother was doing her hair.

After gathering evidence, the police were ready to arrest Fowler in early July, but the woman fled and hid in South Carolina, New Jersey and Florida for some time before surrendering to the police on July 17.
