Where and how to watch the Oscars ceremony for free

The Oscars ceremony will take place on Sunday, February 28th. It can be watched on a local channel from the ABC television network, which is available on all standard pay TVs. But life-stream will not be as easy to find as it seems.

Where to look and what time

You can start watching the Oscar ceremony with the red carpet, along which the stars and award nominees will walk. Live coverage of the red carpet will begin at 19:00 pm ET on ABC. The actual awards ceremony starts in an hour and a half, at 20:30 pm ET, also on ABC.

If you don't have pay TV, you can watch the Oscars with a basic digital antenna, which costs about $20. Depending on where you live, you'll have access to 12 or more channels from the major broadcast networks.

Life-stream

Viewers will be able to watch the Oscars live stream via Watch ABC App. To view you will need to confirm your account provider TV. It is worth noting that the Watch ABC App is available for use only in Chicago, Fresno, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durem and San Francisco.

Bottom line, if you don't have a TV, obviously didn't buy a TV package, and won't be able to connect to the ABC app, you're better off going to a friend's house to watch the Oscars. And it’s worth watching not only because it is the most anticipated event of 2016 in show business. Nominees from Ukraine and Russia will be present at the ceremony.
