Former doctor of the US gymnastics team accused of sexual abuse

American physician Larry Nassar has been charged with sexual assault against at least one girl younger than 13 years.

Nassar worked for many years with the US women's gymnastics team and athletes at the University of Michigan, the portal Lansing state journal.

Nassar has been charged with 3 episodes of sexual assault of a sexual nature of the 1 degree against a minor committed at his home between the years of 1998 and 2005. He has already been arrested, if convicted a doctor is guilty, he can get a life sentence.

In August, a loud scandal broke out in the United States after the publication Indianapolis star published the results of a journalistic investigation of sexual violence against young gymnasts in the United States.

53-year-old Nassar became one of the defendants in this case. He was a physiotherapist of the United States artistic gymnastics team at the 4 Olympics, and worked with young athletes at the University of Michigan for a long time.
