Los Angeles authorities report that the growing problem of homeless people threatens public safety.
To solve this problem it is planned to allocate one hundred million dollars.
At present, according to rough estimates, 26 thousands of people live on the streets of the city. This is ten percent more than two years ago.
Experts say that the reasons for growth are the high price of rental housing, low wages and unemployment.
Los Angeles claims the right to host the 2024 Summer Olympics of the year, and city authorities say that the problem of homeless people, which has existed for dozens of years, needs to be resolved by this deadline.
