Apple will make it impossible to unlock the phone by the police
Company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), developed the eleventh version of iOS, which has already been accessed by many testers.
It turned out that the new application provides an incredible privacy protection feature that allows you to automatically disable touch ID in just a few seconds, protecting the device from verification by anyone, including law enforcement agencies, which can force the suspect to unlock the phone with a fingerprint, writes The New York Post.
The new function is activated by pressing the lock button five times in a row. When you do this, the phone goes into emergency mode, which displays a second screen with an SOS button, which, when pressed, tells your emergency contacts your location. Regardless of whether you press the SOS button or not, this feature also locks your device and disables the Touch ID until you confirm your identity with your password.
Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), did not take an active part in the disputes about how legitimate the police are forcing suspects to unlock their phones using fingerprints. But iOS 11, which will be released in September 2018, will become a powerful tool to protect against such coercion.
