US President Donald Trump met in New York with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.

President of the United States of America Donald Trump emphasizes that American companies see Ukraine as a huge potential for doing business.

According to Voice of AmericaPetro Poroshenko drew attention to the fact that the trade turnover between the United States and Ukraine over the past 7 months has increased 2,5 times as a result of the implementation of the new economic agreement, and Kiev welcomes the arrival of new American companies on the Ukrainian market, which contributes to the creation of hundreds of thousands of jobs in both countries.

In turn, President Trump noted that these American companies see "great potential" in Ukraine and should be supported.

When asked by the press about Kiev's need for additional US military assistance, Poroshenko called the two countries' security and defense cooperation "excellent", adding that "we are definitely very pleased with this."

The video of the beginning of the meeting was posted on Trump's personal page in Facebook.
