Al-Qaeda threatens death to America's richest businessmen
Inspire magazine, which is published by al-Qaeda's branch in the Arabian Peninsula, called on lone terrorists to attack prominent figures in the American economy, including Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, Michael Bloomberg and others, reports NBC News.
In addition to them, industrialists Charles and David Koch, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, gambling magnate Sheldon Adelson and former head of the Federal Reserve Ben Bernanke were included in the “hit list” of terrorists. At the same time, Bernanke's successor in this post, Janet Yellen, was not on the list.
The purpose with which the attacks on these individuals are planned is to prevent the revival of the American economy. The submission also says that businessmen can leave the list if they withdraw their money from American banks, invest in capital outside the US and refuse to support Israel.
Flashpoint Intelligence analyst Evan Coleman told NBC News that for all the marginality of the publication, which does not enjoy great influence, it played a role in the preparation of a number of terrorist attacks. So, according to the expert, the explosions at the Boston Marathon, as well as other upcoming terrorist attacks that could be prevented, were planned taking into account the recommendations of Inspire - single terrorists quite literally followed the advice of the publication.
Inspire magazine is published by al-Qaeda's affiliate in the Arabian Peninsula and was formerly edited by Samir Khan, a US citizen of Pakistani origin who was killed in a drone attack in Yemen in 2011.
According to an NBC News source in American counterintelligence, the material indicates that al-Qaeda is relying on lone terrorists, using the strategy of the Islamic State (banned in the Russian Federation).
