Apple resumed payments to Russian developers
Apple has renewed the transfer of partner payments to Russian developers of applications for OS X and iOS to accounts in Sberbank. This was reported by the press service of Sberbank, as well as confirmed by the developers.
“The restrictions introduced earlier were a misunderstanding connected with an incorrect interpretation of the legislative norms governing the sanctions regime,” commented the press service of Sberbank for the resumption of payments.
Russian developers, reports vc, received letters from Apple stating that previous notifications about termination of payments "were sent out by mistake." All transfers that could be frozen, according to the letter from Apple, will be made within the next few days.
In late August, Vedomosti reported that Apple had notified Russian developers of termination transfer partner payments to accounts in Sberbank. This decision, according to Apple’s letter, was linked to the sanctions imposed on Russia by the EU and the US
