Bloomberg: insider trading scheme with the participation of Ukrainian hackers revealed in the USA
In the US, disclosed an insider scheme of hackers who were engaged in the theft of corporate communications and sale of the information received, the agency reports Bloomberg with reference to the source.
According to the publication, at the moment there are nine participants in the group, probably from Ukraine and Russia.
They broke into the servers of the companies PRNewswire Association LLC, Marketwired and Business Wire and passed the information to their associates from the United States.
The information was used for the sale and purchase of shares of numerous companies, such as Boeing Co., Hewlett-Packard Co., Caterpillar Inc., Oracle Corp. Under this scheme, a group of hackers received more than thirty million dollars.
The publication emphasizes that this is the first major case of the insider trading scheme, which reveals the vulnerability of financial markets in the digital age.
