Among the victims in Tunisia there are no Russians, but there is a wounded Ukrainian
There are no Russians among the tourists killed or injured in the terrorist attack on two hotels in Tunisia, the spokesman for the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Irina Tyurina, reported with reference to the host company in Tunisia.
“We were informed by our partners who received information from the Tunisian Ministry of Internal Affairs from the consulate: there were no Russians among the dead or injured. One injured, wounded woman is a citizen of Ukraine,” Tyurina said.
Mayor Lomidze, executive director of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR), reported in turn to hotels in Tunisia that were attacked by terrorists, often sending Russian vacationers.
“Several Russian tour operators work with these hotels; tourists from Russia are often sent there. But according to available information, there are no Russians among those killed or injured as a result of the terrorist attack,” Lomidze said.
She said that the Riu Imperial Marhaba hotel has 366 rooms on five floors, operates on an “all inclusive” system and is one of the most respectable in Sousse.
The attack on two neighboring hotels in the resort town of Sousse was made on Friday, 27 people died. According to media reports, one of the terrorists was killed by the police, the second was arrested.
