8 useful Facebook settings

Today, almost every person has his Facebook profile, but not everyone knows the possibilities of this social network.

1. Read hidden messages

Few people know that there are two mailboxes on Facebook. One of them is for messages from people who are not your Facebook friends. If you didn’t know about the second mailbox, then you most likely missed invitations to various events from friends of your friends or meeting requests from former colleagues. To read these messages, you need to click on the “Messages” icon, then click on the “Requests for correspondence” button and execute the “View filtered requests” command.

2. Check where you went to your page

In case you doubt that you have left your page on your friend's computer, you can click the small downward arrow in the upper right corner of your screen, select “Settings”. Click on the “Security” button from the list of commands that appears on the left, and then select “Where you are from”, so that you can track all browsers that you have logged into your account at any time. To leave your page on any of the browsers, simply click Finish Action.

3. Be sure that no one hacks you.

If you have doubts about the Facebook security system, you can use the “Confirm Login” button in the same section “Security Settings”. Thus, the security system will require you to enter a password when logging into your account from an unknown device. If you enter your page from a device that you have never used, you will need to use a password that will be sent to your phone.

4. Remember your past on Facebook

On Facebook, you have the opportunity to see everything you've ever liked, been commented on or posted by you. Just click on the upside down arrow in the upper right corner of your page and select “Action Log”.

5. Stay in someone else's skin

If you want to know what your profile looks like for those who are not your friend, click on the three dots to the right of the “View Activity Log” command and select “View how ...” This will give you a great opportunity to look at your page through the eyes of unfamiliar people .

6. Talk face to face

Facebook allows not only to correspond, but also to communicate using the camera. To do this, just click the small camera icon in the upper (blue) part of the message window. If your friend has a camera, you can see and hear each other.

7. Choose the publications you want to see.

Two settings - "Priority in the show" and "Close friends" - ensure that you do not miss interesting information for you. The function “Priority in the show” places the publications of the people you select at the very beginning of the tape, but does not notify you about new publications, unlike the function “Close friends”.

8. Leave the post for later

Facebook is so full of various information that it can replace any newspaper publication for you. For those who have a little free time, Facebook has a function that allows you to save publications and links in order to read them later. Just click on the upturned arrow in the upper right corner of the publication you like and select the “Save publication” or “Save link” command. You can view the saved materials in the Saved folder located on the left side of your news feed.
