Facebook spreads viruses: how to protect a computer

The last two days, Facebook users in the US and Western Europe have been affected by the virus.

The victim of the virus, as a rule, receives a message that one of her friends on the social network has made a post or marked it. In fact, in the post there is a link to the video, the activation of which initiates the integration of harmful extensions into the browser.

An infected computer starts to automatically create such posts, infecting new facebook accounts.

In order to get rid of the virus, you must open the Task Manager and close the processes that are suspicious.

Then you need to open the list of extensions installed in the browser (chrome: // extensions) and delete the ones that you did not install yourself, or make you suspicious. For example, April First Prank Toolkit.

Next you need to delete all posts where you tag your friends and private messages.

Then go to the list of applications that you have installed on Facebook and delete the ones you don’t remember, why you installed them or don’t know where they came from (https://www.facebook.com/bookmarks/apps).
