Bots will appear in Facebook messenger to order goods and services.
Facebook founder and head of the social network Mark Zuckerberg at the F8 conference in San Francisco announced the creation of a platform for using bots in the Facebook messenger.
The new interface is reported to reduce the distance between social network users and businesses, allowing companies to directly communicate with customers for ordering goods and services, as well as distributing content or technical support.
The bots, according to Zuckerberg, will replace, among other things, toll-free phone numbers for ordering services with 1-800 numbers in the United States.
Edition The Verge believes that this decision by Facebook marks the beginning of the “era of bots.”
Other innovations announced at Zuckerberg's company conference as part of the roadmap include the ability to broadcast live video on social networks from any device or application.
In addition, soon there will be an opportunity to put on the so-called avatars (the main Facebook user photo) short videos from the Vine, Boomerang and MSQRD services.
