5 of strange things that are thrown on the shore due to extreme weather conditions

The oceans cover the 71% of the Earth’s surface, and many fancy things are hidden in the water, which they sometimes bring ashore during a storm.

Edition Accu Weather collected five examples of strange objects beached on beaches around the world.

Buoy bomb

The buoy washed ashore unexpectedly turned out to be an active bomb, which shocked the family who took photos of the children next to this object.

Later, the Coast Guard evacuated the beach and conducted a controlled bomb blast.

bananas

Residents of the two Dutch islands were surprised when thousands of unripe bananas were thrown onto their shore. Later it turned out that the fruit spilled out of a container that fell from a cargo ship during a storm.

There were so many bananas that some residents offered to donate to their local zoo.

Nike Sneakers

Over sixty thousand sneakers Nike fell overboard from a cargo ship during a storm in the Pacific in 1990. Oceanographer Kurt Ebbesmeyer has been tracking the movement of these shoes for decades. Some of them are still swimming in the ocean, some were washed ashore.

A variety of rubber toys and other items dropped from ships also float in the ocean.

Motorcycle Harley-Davidsoncaught in a tsunami in Japan in 2011, it was on the shores of Graham Island in the western part of Canada, breaking about 4000 miles (6 500 km).

The motorcycle was in a storage container, which allowed him to swim across the ocean and still be in good condition.

He was identified by the container number, so Canadians who found the motorcycle contacted the owner. Harley-Davidson He offered the owner a new motorcycle in exchange for the damaged one, but he refused the offer. Instead, the owner asked to put a motorcycle in the museum in memory of the 2011 tragedy of the year.

Cannonballs during the Civil War

Police closed a stretch of beach in South Carolina after 150-year-old cannonballs were brought ashore by Hurricane Matthew.

They were discovered by a local resident and immediately notified of the discovery of law enforcement officers.

The nuclei were transferred to a nearby naval base, where they were destroyed.
