Hamas and Israel ready to sign truce: terms of agreement

A senior representative of the extremist group Hamas 7 of August, said it was possible to conclude a long-term armistice agreement with Israel.

According to him, the document can be signed by the end of August, the newspaper writes.NEWS".

The terms of the agreement are discussed with the assistance of the UN, Egypt and Qatar.

A Hamas spokesman, whose name is not named, listed the basic terms of the upcoming deal:

• Opening of the Rafah crossing point at the border of Egypt and the Gaza Strip on a permanent basis;
• Reliefs for the importation and exportation of goods into the Gaza Strip through the Kerem Shalom checkpoint;
• The construction of the seaport and airport in the Sinai Peninsula, which will serve the Gaza Strip;
• The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas for 5 years;
• The return of the bodies of the dead Israelis and the living citizens of Israel held in the Gaza Strip;
• The complete cessation of fiery terror is the launch of incendiary balloons into the territory of Israel.

Earlier, Hamas demanded the release of imprisoned terrorists convicted of serious crimes in exchange for advancing negotiations on the return of bodies and detained Israeli citizens. But Israel strongly opposed the release of militants, and also called the return of the bodies and citizens of the country a prerequisite for any agreement with the Palestinians.

Now, a high-ranking Hamas official did not mention the demand for the release of Israeli terrorists.

7 August, the military and political leadership of Hamas ended a multi-day meeting in Gaza, which discussed the possibility of reconciliation and confrontation with Israel.

The delegation of a terrorist organization led by the Vice-Chairman of the Politburo Salah Al-Arouri returned to Cairo, where she will hold consultations with representatives of the Egyptian security forces regarding further developments in the sector.
