A tiger named Putin died at the Minnesota Zoo: they write in social networks that this is a sign
A 12-year-old tiger named Putin has died at the Minnesota Zoo. Death came from heart failure, despite the efforts of veterinarians, livestock specialists and zookeepers. This is reported Voice of America.
The tiger was born in 2009 in the Czech Republic, lived in the Danish zoo for six years, and arrived in Minnesota in 2015.
He was undergoing preventive screening, which included the collection of specimens to help save the Amur tiger population, at the recommendation of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums (AZA) as part of the Amur Tiger Survival Plan.
"The team did everything they could to save the animal," a spokesperson for the zoo said.
The Amur tiger is a rare animal, less than 500 representatives of this species remain in the wild. More than a hundred Amur tigers live in US zoos. The Minnesota Zoo website notes that the tiger has made an invaluable contribution to the preservation of its species, he has several cubs.
ForumDaily was unable to find out the reason for the origin of the name of the tiger and whether the animal is somehow connected with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Social media users are very sorry that the wrong Putin died. They are sure that the death of the predator is directly related to the name of the Russian leader. So, they note, this could be a good sign.
