In Wisconsin, in the city of Milwaukee, doctors diagnosed 125 cases of HIV and syphilis - this is one of the largest outbreaks of the disease in the United States, writes Daily Mail.

Of the 125 people, the majority were men who had positive test results for both diseases, of which 45% were infected with HIV.

Authorities believe the real figure is higher than 125 because many people are afraid to disclose their illnesses. The number of HIV and syphilis cases is expected to increase. It is known that among the cases, about a dozen or less than 10% are high school students.

Authorities have reported that this is a persistent health problem in this city. Young people between the ages of 15 and 24 are at risk.

Georgia has the highest number of 31.8 people per 100 thousand people living with HIV. By comparison, in Wisconsin, this is 4.6 per 100 thousand people.
