Military equipment arrived in Latvia from the USA

More 120 units of various combat vehicles, including tanks and armored vehicles, were delivered by sea from the USA to Latvia.

The military equipment was delivered to Riga within the framework of the Atlantic Resolve mission. Among the delivered combat vehicles are M1A2 Abrams tanks and M2A3 Bradley armored vehicles.

“The presence of American allies in Latvia is a confirmation of the solidarity and security of the region,” said the head of the Latvian defense ministry, Raymond Vejonis.

“Operation Atlantic Readiness” is a demonstration of our continued commitment to NATO’s collective security and the maintenance of peace and stability in the region. (...) The operation will continue as long as there is a need to support our allies and to keep Russia from regional hegemony, ”added Major General John O'Connor, who arrived in Riga with the US military equipment.
