Euromaidan participant planted in Crimea

In Simferopol, the court sentenced former policeman Alexander Kostenko to four years and two months in prison. He was accused of causing moderate bodily injury to an employee of the “Berkut” during Euromaidan, as well as possession of weapons. The prosecution represented the head of the Crimean prosecutor Natalia Poklonskaya.

Alexandra Kostenko was arrested in early February 2015. According to investigators, in February Kostenko 2014 participated in protest actions in Kiev (Euromaidan). There, he allegedly threw a stone at the employee "Berkut". At first, Kostenko was accused only on this point, but then charged with possession of weapons. During a search of his house, they found a pipe, which the investigators considered to be a self-made part of a Makarov pistol.
