In Germany, the nephew of the main Russian propagandist is tried for preparing for war with Ukraine

In February, the Supreme Land Court of Munich 27 began the trial of the TV host Dmitry Kiselev, Sergei Kiselev, on the case of participation in hostilities in the east of Ukraine. Reported it TVTV correspondent from the courtroom.

According to the investigators, the accused planned to participate in the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine in order to include part of the Ukrainian territory into Russia. At the same time, participation in hostilities in the Donbass is not the subject of litigation.

The Bavarian Prosecutor’s Office accuses Sergei Kiselyov of preparing a crime that threatened state security and of violating the gun control law.

In August 2014, Kiselev underwent combat training in a camp in St. Petersburg to fight on the side of the self-proclaimed DNR. According to the prosecution, then he had a Kalashnikov assault rifle and a pistol with him.

The German authorities launched an investigation into Kiselev at the end of 2017. In May, 2018, the police received a European arrest warrant. He was detained in Bulgaria and deported to Germany. He has been in custody ever since.

The OstWest TV channel found out that Sergey Kiselev has been ordained a priest since 1994. For several years he served in the Kazan Cathedral on Red Square. In Germany, Kiselev allegedly moved to the 1996 year and began to serve in Orthodox churches in the Bavarian Ingolstadt and the neighboring Austrian Salzburg. The site of the Russian Orthodox Church abroad has his photos with a beard and in a cassock.

The Welt newspaper wrote that on Kiselev's page on the social network VKontakte, she found a photo in which 12 men pose with flags of the self-proclaimed DNR. This picture, which allegedly is Kiselev, made in St. Petersburg.

Recall that the brother of the Russian propagandist Dmitry Kiselev lives in the United States, is a citizen of this country and does not like Russia.
