In Brooklyn, an unknown person opened fire at a parade
In Brooklyn, a shooting and stabbing occurred at the annual celebration of the Caribbean diaspora, the J'Ouvert Parade. Two separate incidents resulted in 2 deaths and 4 injuries. And this despite the fact that the number of patrol officers has doubled.
The first tragic incident occurred at Eastern Parkway during the carnival. The man received a gunshot wound to the chest and died on the spot. During the incident, more 2 women were injured.
A few hours after the registration of the first incident, passersby found a man with knife wounds in the park. 2 women who took part in the parade with similar injuries also turned in an ambulance.
Police are looking for criminals.
Last year, the J'Ouvert parade was also overshadowed by tragic events. Assistant Governor Cuomo Carey Gabay received a fatal bullet wound.
